Pasta Fagioli

Pasta Fagioli with Three Cheese Pasta Sauce

Serves: Serves 6 to 8

Ingredients

• 5 Tbsp olive oil
• 1/2 medium onion, chopped
• 2 celery stems, chopped fine
• 1 26 oz. jar DelGrosso Three Cheese Pasta Sauce
• 6 cups water
• 1/2 - teaspoon black pepper
• 1 tsp. garlic powder
• 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
• 1 40.5 oz. can great northern beans
• 3 cups uncooked elbow macaroni, cooked to package directions
• 1 13.25 oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained
• 1/4 cup grated Parmesan or Romano cheese

Notes
Preparation Time: 45 minutes

Directions

• In 3 quart saucepan sauté olive oil, onion and celery over low heat until translucent (approximately 25 minutes).
• Add DelGrosso Three Cheese Spaghetti Sauce, water, pepper, garlic and basil.
• Cook until heated thoroughly.
• Combine cooked macaroni and sauce mixture in a stockpot.
• Cook over medium heat until hot.
• Add mushrooms and beans and bring to a boil.
• Serve in large soup bowls and top with grated cheese.
